Physics Nobel for quantum scientists

Frenchman Serge Haroche and American David Wineland both shared the 2012 Nobel Prize in physics on 9th October 2012 for inventing methods to observe the bizarre properties of the quantum world — research that has led to the construction of extremely precise clocks and helped scientists take the first steps toward building superfast computers.

Railways put 400 CCTVs at 10 stations to improve security system

The Delhi division of Northern Railway authorities have completed the installation of 400 CCTVs at 10 stations with Rs. 20 crore to ensure better security and mobility at its stations.Only in the New Delhi Railway station they installed more than 100 CCTV cameras as part of an integrated security system (ISS).

IMF cuts India’s Growth Forecast for 2012 to 4.9 Percent
