India,UK Signed MOU to strenghen cooperation in earth sciences

On March 1,India and UK  signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their cooperation in Earth Sciences and environmental research by sharing information on meteorology, hydrology and climate variability.The MoU between the Earth System Science Organisation of the Ministry of Earth Sciences and UK’s Natural Environment Research Council was inked in New Delhi in the presence of Science and Technology Minister S Jaipal Reddy .


Congress MP Mukesh Gadhvi passed away 

On March 1st Congress MP from Banaskantha,Mukesh Gadhvi passed away in Ahmedabad with brain stroke.Gadhvi was a two-time MP from Banaskantha and three-time MLA from Danta.His father late B K Gadhvi was the Union Minister of State for Finance during the Rajiv Gandhi government and had also been the Gujarat unit party president.

The Vice President of India, M. Hamid Ansari released a book titled Walking with Lions: Tales from a Diplomatic Past, written by K. Natwar Singh, the former Union Minister for External Affairs on 1 March 2013. This was Published by Harper Collins India.


Spinning Black Hole Observed for the First Time

The Spinning black holes are first identified by Paranal Observatory astronomers in Chile.The enormous black hole at the center of the spiral galaxy NGC 1365 is spinning about 84 percent as fast as Einstein’s general theory of relativity allows it to, researchers determined. NGC 1365, located about 56 million light-years from Earth.


China coal mine fire kills 11 workers

On 1 March 2013 a fire at a coal mine at Zhangjiakou city in northern China killed 11 workers. Last year 1,384 people expired in China’s coal mine accidents.
