Sachin Tendulkar Honoured by “Wisden India”

Sachin Tendulkar won  “Wisden India” maiden Outstanding Achievement award for completing a century of 100 international hundreds, in Dubai on 11 June 2012. he is the first recipient of the Wisden India Outstanding Achievement award.The legendary batsman was presented a trophy at an event organized by Fidelis World. The trophy was made from crystal, it resembles a cricket  ball resting on the open pages of a book.


Rafael Nadal won his Seventh French Open Singles Title

Spaniard Rafael Nadal on 11 June 2012 defeated Serbian Novak Djokovic to clinch his seventh French Open Singles Title 2012.He is the first man to win a record of 7th french open title.Legend Bjorn Borg’s 6 title feat surpassed by Rafael Nadal. Nadal received ‘La Coupedes Mousquetairer(Musketeers cup).


Nobel slashes cash prize

The prize money given to Nobel laureates is to be cut by a fifth, the foundation behind the prestigious awards said on 11 June.currently prize money is 10 million crowns and it would fall to 8 million Swedish crowns ($1.12 million). The Nobel Foundation said the money for the awards, given for excellence in the fields of science, literature and peace. The capital that forms the base for the awards was donated in the will of dynamite inventor Alfred Nobel and is managed by the foundation, which was set up in 1900.


IT Cheif Commissioners Conference Opened by Pranab

The Union Finance Minister,Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, on 11 June inaugurated th e28 th Annual conference of cheif commissioners and Directors Genersl of Income Tax in the Capital Delhi.
