Indian-American Woman Appointed CIO of Top US University
Indian-American Viji Murali, an IT veteran in higher education, has been named as the chief information officer and vice provost of Information and Educational Technology at a prestigious American university. Murali comes to UC Davis from Washington State University, where, since 2007, she has served as vice president for Information Services, and CIO for the WSU system.She succeeds Pete Siegel, who left UC Davis a year ago.
Pakistan Declares Dilip Kumar’s Ancestral Home As National Heritage
Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has declared as national heritage the ancestral home in Peshawar of Hindi moviedom’s thespian actor Dilip Kumar. He has directed the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage to acquire the house.
