Narendra Ambwani Elected As New ASCI chairman
Narendra Ambwani, Director, Agro Tech Foods Ltd, has been elected as Chairman of the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI). He has been a member of the board of governors for seven years and provided active support to self-regulation in the advertising market. Benoy Roy Chawdhuri was elected as Vice-Chairman, while Shashidhar Sinha was appointed Honorary Treasurer. ASCI is a non-profit self-regulatory voluntary organization of the advertising industry which was founded in 1985. Its primary objective is to maintain and enhance the public’s confidence in advertising.
Environment Ministry Launched Online Portal For Zoos
Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar on 12 September launched an online portal for grant of recognition to zoos and monitoring of zoos. Prakash Javadekar also launched an E- archival and retrieval management system for the Central Zoo Authority and a book on “Zoos in India 2014.
