Wal-Mart Names Krish Iyer As New Chief Executive For India Unit
Wal-Mart Stores Inc.(WMT) on 13 December named Krish Iyer as president and chief executive of its India unit.Mr. Iyer, will replace Walmart India’s interim chief executive Ramnik Narsey, from January 20 , 2014. Iyer, who will report to Wal-Mart Asia regional President and CEO Scott Price, will replace interim CEO Ramnik Narsey, who is taking a new role as senior vice president, Wal-Mart International.Iyer is a Chartered Accountant, having received his Bachelor’s degree with honours in Commerce and Economics from the University of Mumbai in India.
Vasundhara Raje Sworn In As Chief Minister of Rajasthan
BJP leader Vasundhara Raje , who led BJP to a landslide victory in Rajasthan Assembly polls, was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan for the second time.Vasundhara Raje was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Margaret Alva during a grand swearing-in ceremony inside the Assembly building premises in Jaipur on 13 December. Vasundhara Raje is elected from Jhalrapatan (Jhalawar) constituency. She is the 22nd Chief Minister of Rajasthan state.
