For the financial year 2016-17 the GDP growth of India estimated as 8% by NITI Aayog

Based on the twelfth Five-Year plan and excluding the impact of the demonetization NITI Aayog estimated the GDP growth rate of India for the financial year 2016-2017 as 8%


First time in the world ‘Gender Literature Fest’ will be at Patna

To increase visibility for gender equity in the state of Bihar Gender Resource Center of Bihar’s Women Development Corporation is conducting the world’s first ‘Gender Literature Fest’ in the second week of April, 2017 at Patna.


In 2017 according to ILO the Unemployment rises by 3.4 millions globally

International Labour Organisation (ILO) stated that the unemployment will increase nearly by 3.4 millions even the economic growth rate is 3.4% in 2017 & 3.6% in 2018.


In November 2016 the Industrial Production grown to 5.7%

After the demonetization many expected that the Industrial Production will slows down, but it grew 5.7% in November 2016 when compared the same in 2015. The growth of these industries will be measured in Index of Industrial Production (IIP). IIP in 2016 made clear that there is a clear growth in Manufacturing, electricity and capital goods.


For Central Government pensioners the minimum pension is raised to rs.9,000

Minister of State, Dr Jitendra Singh announced that the minimum pension for all the 50-55 lakh central government pensioners was increased to Rs. 9,000 and the ex gratis increased from 10-15 lakh to 25-35 lakh.


First time in the world FM radio broadcasting was ceased by Norway

To promote digital-only radios Norway ceased the FM radio broadcasting using analog frequencies. The national broadcaster NRK, the nationwide radio channels started switching from analog to digital which provides a wider range of broadcasting and high sound clarity.


Telangana state celebrated 6 days International Kites Festival from 12th of January

Hyderabad and two other Telangana districts participated in this second International Kite Festival. Telangana Tourism conducted this festival to create awareness on education and empowerment of girl children. From 17 countries with 70 international and 40 national kite flyers participated and a special night-flying event is also planned at People’s Plaza as a per-festival event.
