Ex Chief Minister of Maharastra Vilasarao Passed Away

Union Minster and former Maharastra chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh died at chennai hospital on 14 August 2012, after a prolonged illness of cancer. He died at 67. Deshmuk was a valued member of the Union cabinet. He handled his public responsibilities with tact, politeness and grace. He was Rajya Sabha member and minister without portfolio. He was minister for science & Technology, earth sciences and micro, small and medium enterprises. His funeral made in his hometown Lathur district in Maratwada.


Committee to Review RRB’s

The Government of the India has decided to review the viability, standards of regional rural banks in India and their manpower and working. A six member committee headed by the executive director of the National Bank for Agriculture and rural development,S.K.Mitra. The Main Agenda of this panel is to strengthen the RRB’s.


Stem Cell therapy to Prevent Osteoarthritis

Researchers found that a stem cell therapy to prevent Osteoarthritis(painful and stiff joints) after a joint injury. Injury raises the odds of getting a form of osteoarthritis called post-traumatic arthritis.There are no therapies yet to modify or slow the progression of an arthritis after injury. Duke University health system researches have found a therapeutic approach to PTA using a type of stem cell, called mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs). Scientists thought that these stem cells would work to prevent PTA by altering and balance of inflammation and regeneration in knee joints, because these stem cells have beneficiaries in other regions of the body.


Pakistan’s Highest Civilian Award to Saadat Hasan Manto

The Writer Saadat Hasan Manto Posthumously received the Pakistan’s Highest award”Nisan-i-Imtiaz”. He died at 42 in 1955, Manto is best known for his short stories, especially he explored the impact of the partition of the subcontinent into India & Pakistan in 1947. along with Manto, renowned singer Mehdi Hassan too was Posthumously honoured with “Nishan-i-Imtiaz” Hassan Popularly known as the “Shahenshah-e-Ghazil” who died in June 2012 at the age of 84.
