Former RBI governor Bimal Jalan To Head Expenditure Management Commission

The Union Government decided to appoint former RBI governor Bimal Jalan as the head of the Expenditure Management Commission. He would be tasked to suggest ways for managing public finances by reducing food, fertiliser and oil subsidies to include fiscal deficit. The other members of the commission are Sumit Bose, former Finance Secretary, and Subir Gokarn, former RBI Deputy Governor.


Himachal Pradesh To Host First Para-gliding World Cup In India

Paragliding World Cup Association selected Himachal Pradesh as a venue to host the 2015 para-gliding World Cup. This will be the first para-gliding World Cup to be hosted in India. The tournament will be organised under the aegis of Para-gliding World Cup Association, France.
