Anandiben Patel to hold additional charge as Chhattisgarh Governor
President Ram Nath Kovind gave Madhya Pradesh Governor Anadiben Patel additional charge of Chhattisgarh following the demise of its Governor Balramji Dass Tandon.


Rupee for first time hit historic low of Rs. 70 mark against US dollar
Indian rupee for first time in history plunged to record low of Rs. 70.07 against US dollar. However, it recovered later at around Rs. 69.84 after heavy intervention by Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

Chhattisgarh Governor Balramji Das Tandon passed away at the age of 90. He was admitted to a hospital in Raipur after he suffered cardiac arrest.
