World Elder Abuse Awareness Day was Observed Across The World
World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 2014 was observed across the world on 15 June 2014. The day raise voices against the abuse and suffering inflicted to our elders. Around 4 to 6% of elderly people have experienced some form of maltreatment at home. People over 60 years are expected to more than double, from 542 million in 1995 to about 1.2 billion by 2025.
First Solar Power Plant of Delhi Metro Inaugurated
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) launched first Roof Top Solar Power Plant at Dwarka Sec21 metro station. In its attempt to conserve environment, Delhi Metro has become the first mass transit system of India to begin installing solar power plants on the roofs of its stations.
