Haryana Passed Cow Protection Bill

The Haryana Assembly passed the Haryana Gauvansh Sanrakshan and Gausamvardhan Bill on 16 March with two amendments, paving the way for prohibiting the slaughter of cow and its progeny and providing punishment of up to 10 years with a fine ranging from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1 lakh for any violation. The Bill seeks to conserve and develop indigenous breeds of cows and to establish institutions to keep, maintain and care infirm, injured, stray and uneconomic cows in the State.


Facebook Acquires Shopping Search Engine TheFind

Social networking giant Facebook has acquired the shopping search engine TheFind. With the acquisition, the social networking giant Facebook has signaled its future plans to move into the e-commerce.The acquisition aims to improve Facebook ads experience and lift its digital advertising business. The technology of TheFind will be integrated into Facebook in order to make ads more relevant and better for consumers.


Ashu Suyash Named as Crisil CEO & MD

Credit rating agency Crisil on 16 March announced the appointment of Ashu Suyash as the next Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). She will succeed Roopa Kudva, who has been the MD & CEO at Crisil since 2007.Suyash has over 26 years of experience in the financial services.


Centre Launches Nationwide Drinking Water & Sanitation Awareness Week

The Center launched a National Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Awareness Week at Village Kankrola-Bhanglora of Gurgaon District in Haryana. The week long campaign inaugurated by Shri Birender Singh, Union Minister for Rural Development , Drinking Water and Sanitation and Panchayati Raj will conclude at Kohima, Nagaland on 22nd March commemorating the celebration of World Water Day.
