Saina Nehwal and Srikanth Won The China Open Super Series Premier Tournament

Indian shuttlers Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth on 16 November clinched women’s and men’s singles title of the China Open Super Series Premier of Badminton respectively, in Fuzhou, China. Saina defeated Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in the women’s singles final in Fuzhou, China. In the men’s Singles final, Srikanth defeated Lin Dan of China in the men’s singles final. This is the first time any Indian male shuttler has won a Super Series Premier event ever since the Super Series and Premier tournaments were introduced.

World’s Largest Wall Panel Launched At IITF

The world’s largest load-bearing wall panel – Glass Fibre Reinforced Gypsum (GFRG), the “Gypwall” – was launched at the India International Trade Fair 2014. The panel is manufactured by FACT-RCF Building Products Limited – a joint venture of Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (Kochi) and Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers Limited (PSU) under Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilisers ministry.

Shalabh Seth was appointed as the Managing Director (MD) of SABMiller India Pvt Ltd. He succeeded Grant Liversage who is returning to South Africa after serving less than 18 months in the company. SABMiller Plc is a South African multinational brewing and beverage company headquartered in London, England. It is the world’s second-largest brewer measured by revenues. SABMiller Plc entered India in 2000 by acquiring Narang Breweries. SABMiller India is the owner of Foster’s and Haywards beer.

International Day For Tolerance Observed Across The World

International Day for Tolerance was observed on 16 November 2014 across the world to educate people about the need for tolerance in society and to aware them about the dangers of intolerance. The day was first observed in 1995.
