Terry Walsh Resigns As India Hockey Coach

Terry Walsh on 18 November resigned as Chief Coach of Indian hockey team after his contractual talks with Hockey India (HI) and the Sports Authority of India (SAI) broke down. However, a fresh proposal is still being worked out for his consideration.


‘VAPE’  is Named Oxford Dictionaries Word Of  The Year 2014

The Oxford Dictionaries announces ‘ VAPE ‘ as its international Word of the Year 2014. The Oxford Dictionary defines Vape as a verb and meaning is to inhale and exhale the vapour produced by an electronic cigarette or similar device.


Suresh Raina Becomes Co-owner Of  Uttar Pradesh Wizards

Indian batsman Suresh Raina joined the Hockey India League (HIL) franchise team, Uttar Pradesh Wizards, as its co-owner. With this he became the second Indian cricketer to get associated with HIL.  Earlier Team India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni also got associated with the Ranchi franchise team of HIL as its co-owner.


Neha Gupta Won 2014 International Children’s Peace Prize

Indian-American student Neha Gupta has won the 2014 International Children’s Peace Prize Award for her exceptional work to raise money for underprivileged children around the world. Neha became the first ever American to be awarded with the prize.
