RBI, UAE Central Bank ink MoU for supervisory information exchange

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Bank of United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Supervisory Cooperation and Exchange of Supervisory Information. By signing the MoU, RBI is seeking to promote greater co-operation and share supervisory information among the authorities.


Virender Sehwag announces retirement from International Cricket

Ace Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has announced his retirement from international cricket. He had started his international cricket career in 1999 after he played his first One Day International (ODI) against Pakistan and later in 2001 joined the Indian Test team. In his remarkable career, he had scored 17,253 international runs across all formats.


NATO launches biggest Trident Juncture Military Exercise in Italy

North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has launched Trident Juncture Military Exercise in Italy to test the alliance’s ability to respond to new security threats. It is the biggest military exercise conducted by alliance in past 13 years as it has mobilized around 36,000 soldiers, sailors and airmen from more than 30 countries of NATO. The operational centre for the exercise is based in the Sicilian city Trapani (Italy).
