A New Government formed in Egypt

President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has sworn in a new Government on 19 September, 2015. The new cabinet headed by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, former Petroleum Minister . The 33 member cabinet contains three women and 16 new members. Two of the newcomers, Educatiuon minister Zaki Badr and Tourism minister Hisham Zaazou served in similar posts under Mubarak.


Judicial Grid to monitor pending cases inaguarated in Supreme Court

The National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG) to monitor the pendency of cases in all the district and lower courts across the country was inagurated in the Supreme Court on 19 September, 2015 by Justice Madan B. Lokur, incharge of e-committee of the apex court. This NJDG public access page as available at ecourts.gov.in/services will give consolidated figures of pendency of cases in district judiciary across the country. This will show case pendency broken into civil and criminal cases segregated into age-wise categories of upto 2 years, between 2 to 5 years, between 5 to 10 years and more than 10 years.


Union Government formed Mihir Shah Committee on restructuring Water Agencies

The Union Ministry of Water Resources on 11 September, 2015 constituted a seven member committee to advice it on restructuring the Central Water Commission (CWC) and The Central Ground Water Board (CGWB). The expert committee will be headed by former planning commission member Mihir Shah. The committee was mandated to suggest ways for optimal development of water resources in the country.
