Rafael Nadal won ATP Mexican Open 2013 Tennis Tournament

Rafael Nadal won ATP Mexican Open 2013 Tennis Title after he defeated the top seed and defending champion David Ferrer 6-0, 6-2 on 2 March 2013 in the final match of the ATP Mexican Open 2013 tennis tournament.This is the 38th clay court title of Nadal.On the other hand, in the women’s final, Italy’s Sara Errani defeated Carla Suarez-Navarro of Spain 6–0, 6-4.


Sukh Ram’s son Anil Sharma, inducted into Himachal Pradesh cabinet

The Congress government in Himachal Pradesh was expanded  the cabinet on 02 March 2013 with the induction of former telecom minister Sukh Ram’s son Anil Sharma as the 11th Minister Virbhadra Singh Cabinet. The Panchayati Raj, Rural Development and Animal Husbandry, Portifolios was given to Anil Sharma. This is the third time Anil Sharma was elected to Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.He was earlier elected to the State Assembly in 1993 and 2007. He remained Youth Services, Sports and Forest Minister in 1993 and had resigned after Mr. Sukh Ram’s arrest in the telecom scam.


Salman Rushdie named in al-Qaida’s ‘most-wanted list of Islam critics to kill’

Indian-origin British author Salman Rushdie had been named in the ‘most-wanted list of Islam critics to kill’ released by al-Qaida in the new issue of its English online magazine.A fatwa was issued against Rushdie by Iran’s late leader Ayotollah Khomeini in 1989 over passages in his book The Satanic Verses.Iran’s Khordad Foundation has raised the reward offered for his killing by 500,000 pounds to 2.5 million pounds.
