Dharamshala declared as second capital of Himachal Pradesh

The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Virbhadra Singh has declared Dharamshala the second capital of the state. Situated in the snow-capped Dhauladhar range. Dharamshala will serve as the state’s winter capital, Singh said that the city fully deserved the status because of its history and significance.


INS Vikramaditya gets onboard ATM machine

The largest Warship of the Indian Navy, INS Vikramaditya, will be equipped with its own dedicated ATM. It will cater to over two thousand naval personnel deployed on the aircraft carrier. India’s largest public sector bank SBI is providing the Navy the services for the ATM which will be on the satellite link.


Bihar Govt launches “Nasha Mukt Campaign”

Bihar Govt launched Nasha Mukt campaign to make the state addiction free with formation of  over 11 thousand km long chain across the state. Over two crore people had participated in this human chain that covered all panchayats of the state apart from satellite , drones and low flying aircraft will also be used for taking images of the human chain. Bihar will become an ideal state of the country as dreamed by Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi.


PM Modi address Combined Commanders Conference in Dehradun

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 21st January 2017 addressed top military commanders in Dehradun during which he is understood to have out lined his vision on security challenges before the country. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and National security advisor Ajit Doval were also present at the Combined Commanders Conference (CCC) which was held at Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun as part of Madi’s wish to hold annual Conference outside the national capital.


Donald Trump Sworn in as 45th us President

Donald Trump has taken over as the 45th President of the United States, putting Republicans in control of the White House for the first time in eight years. Mr. Trump was sworn in by Chief Justice John Roberts, reciting the  35-word oath with his hand placed upon two Bibles, one used by his family and the an other in former President Abraham Lincoln’s inauguration. He reigns the power from Barack Obama.


KGB to propagate financial literacy among School Children

Kerala Gramin Bank [KGB] has launched a novel programme called FI @ school at Assisi Vidyanikethan Public School, Kakkanad to propagate financial literacy among school children on January 20,2017. Every branch of the Bank has to tie up with nearest school to organise various programmes to literate school students.


ISKCON’s Govardhan eco village bags UN award

ISKCON’s Govardhan eco village near by Wada taluka in Thane district has been conferred the United Nations award for taking innovative measures of “sustainable tourism’ in country. The award was presented at the annual United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) A wards for excellence and innovation in Tourism at Madrid in Spain. This is the first time India has own such recognition from the UN in the NGO sector.
