Bainimarama sworn in for second term as Fiji PM
Incumbent Fijian Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama was sworn in for a second term after his ruling Fiji First party won this year’s general elections. Bainimarama was sworn in by President Jioji Konrote in the presence of representatives and high officials of the executive, legislative and judicial arms of the government.


Yes Bank Director R. Chandrashekhar Resigns
R. Chandrashekhar, an independent director at Yes Bank, resigned from his position. R. Chandrashekhar is the third person to resign from Yes Bank, in the recent time. Yes Bank is in the process of finding a new CEO to replace the incumbent CEO, Rana Kapoor.


APEC Summit 2018 held in Papua New Guinea
The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit was held in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinean capital. This is the first time Papua New Guinea (PNG), the poorest of the 21 countries in APEC, has hosted the summit.

Dr Jitendra Singh releases book Radio Kashmir in Times of Peace & War written by Dr Rajesh Bhat. The book published by Stellar Publishers. The book explains the role played by Radio Kashmir in serving the people of Kashmir and strengthening democratic institutions in Kashmir, since the inception of Radio Kashmir in 1947. Dr Rajesh Bhat serves in the Policy Division of Directorate General, All India Radio, New Delhi.


Bangladesh wins 59th Edition of Subroto Cup Football Tournament
Bangladesh Krida Shiksha Prothishtan (BKSP) won the 59th edition of the junior boys Subroto Cup International Football Tournament beating Amini School, Afghanistan by a solitary goal at the Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi. Habibur Rahman scored the all-important goal in the 11th minute.


India slips two places to 53rd Position on Global talent ranking
India has slipped two places to rank 53rd Position in Global Annual talent ranking released by renowned IMD Business School, Switzerland on 20 November 2018.Switzerland retained the top Position for the fifth consecutive year.Denmark attained 2nd rank,while Norway attained 3rd Rank.


India & World Bank Sign $310 million Loan Agreement for Jharkhand
The Government of India, the Government of Jharkhand and the World Bank signed in New Delhi a $310 million Loan Agreement for Jharkhand Power System Improvement Project to provide reliable, quality, and affordable 24×7 electricity to the citizens of Jharkhand. The Jharkhand Power System Improvement Project will help build new power transmission infrastructure, as well as put in place systems to improve the technical efficiency and commercial performance of the state power sector utilities.


Oscar-Winning Screenwriter William Goldman passes away
The Oscar-winning screenwriter and best-selling author William Goldman, known for ‘Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid’ and ‘All The President’s Men’, passes away. He was 87.
