Saina Nehwal wins Malaysian Masters Grand Prix
Saina Nehwal wins Malaysian Masters Grand Prix Gold tournament. She defeated Pornpawee Chochuwong 22-20, 22- 20 in the final match. This was her 23rd title overall and the first after last year’s Australian Open.
STF for women safety reconstituted in Delhi
A special task force (STF) for women that will review decisions taken by the city police and other departments regarding their safety in the national capital has been reconstituted, Delhi Commission for Women said that. The STF headed by 4 Governor Anil Baijwal, will have as its members, Delhi Chief Secretary,Delhi Police Commissioner, Chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women, Principal Secretary Home Department Delhi.
India to increase passenger train speed to 200 kmph
The Russian Railways is helping India;s National transporter increase the speed of its passenger trains up to 200 KM per hour. The Russian Railways is t present collaborating with the Indian Railways on a 575-KM stretch between Nagpur and Secunderabad and submitted a preliminary report last week. At present, the fastest train in the country is Gatiman Express with top speed of 160 kmph.
National Anthem in Gujarat set New World Record
More than 3.5 lakh people in Gujarat’s Rajkot district set a new world record by singing the national anthem at the event. The occasion was installation of idol of goddess Khodiyar at a newly built Khodal Dham Temple in the town, Over 3.5 lakh people sang the anthem together at the idol installation ritual in the presence of observers from Guinness World Records.
Apple named most innovative company 2016
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has named technology giant Apple as the most innovative Company in 2016 in its annual list of the world’s 50 “Most Innovative Companies”. Inter-net search giant Google ranked second, Amazon ranked fifth, Facebook ranked ninth and IBM are BCG’s tenth most innovative company.
