N Srinivasan Unanimously Elected As President of TNCA
N.Srinivasan who is all set to take over the head post of the revamped ICC, has been elected as the President of Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) for the 14th consecutive term during the 84th annual general body meeting of the board. This was the 10th year when the TNCA elections were conducted without any opposition and no voice was raised against reappointment of Srinivasan. All the sitting office bearers and executive committee members were elected unopposed during the 84th annual general body meeting of the TNCA.
United Nations Public Service Day Observed Across The World
The United Nations Public Service Day was observed across the world on 23 June 2014. The theme for 2014 is Innovating Governance for Sustainable Development and Well-being of the People. The day was celebrated every year to mark the invaluable contributions of public servants and administrators in an effort to build a better world for all. The UN Public Service Day is intended to celebrate the value and virtue of public service to the community. It highlights the contribution of public service in the development process and recognizes the work of public servants.
