PM leaves for Durban to attend BRICS Summit

South Africa will host the fifth BRICS( Five leading and emerging economic countries namely Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) Summit from 26 to 27 March 2013 at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC). It is expected that the BRICS countries will announce plans to form a BRICS-based development bank, as well as discuss the relaxing of trade restrictions within the bloc.On the occasion of this meeting, our Priminster Manmohan Singh met the Chine’s President  Xi Jinping on 27 March 2013.


India won Border Gavaskar Trophy 2013 agaist Austraia by 4-0

India on 24 March 2013 won the fourth and the final test with 6 wickets remaining against Australia in the Alan Border Series – Australia Tour to India, at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, Delhi. Man of the match was given to Ravindra Jadeja for his all-round performance. Man of the series was given to Ravichandran Ashwin for claiming 29 wickets in the four-Test Series


Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel wins the Malaysian Grand Prix 2013

On 24 March Three-time world champion Sebastian Vettel won the Malaysian Grand Prix 2013 at the Sepang International Circuit.


Harvard University invites Akhilesh to share Mahakumbh experience

After Uttar Pradesh played host to world’s largest religious congregation during Mahakumbh in Allahabad, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Minister Mohammad Azam Khan have been invited by the HarvardUniversity to share the story of organising the 55-day event.


Mir Hazar Khan Khoso as a caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan

On March 24 Justice Retd. Mir Hazar Khan Khoso was elected as a sixth caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan by Election Commission.General elections in Pakistan will be held on 11th May 2013. This is the  first democratic transition of power in Pakistan.
