Chandigarh-born Srinivasan first Indian American judge in US appeals court

Chandigarh-born  Indian-American legal luminary Srikanth ‘Sri’ Srinivasan has made history with the US Senate unanimously confirming him as the first South Asian judge on the powerful appeals court for the American capital.Srinivasan, 46, currently principal deputy solicitor general of the US, was on 23 May 2013 confirmed by the Senate by a 97 to 0 vote, as a judge on the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, often called the nation’s second-highest court.


Mumbai Indians beat Chennai to win title

Mumbai Indians won the Indian Premier League title after beating Chennai Super Kings by 23 runs in the final on 26 May 2013.Mumbai Indians team beat the  Chennai Super kings alerady 2 times won IPL title.


Rosberg Won Monaco Grand Prix Title

On 26 May The Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg won the Monaco Grand Prix title. Rosberg’s team-mate Lewis Hamilton dropped from second to fourth after losing out through the safety car. Force India’s Adrian Sutil took fifth from McLaren’s Jenson Button.


China Won Sudirman Cup In Badminton

On 26 May China won their fifth consecutive Sudirman Cup and ninth overall, after defeated South Korea.At the Putra Stadium China’s World No. 1 Xu Chen and Ma Jin defeated their South Korean opponents Ko Sung Hyun and Kim Ha Na in straight games in the mixed doubles.In men’s singles, China’s Chen Long defeated South Korean Lee Dong Keun .In men’s doubles Chinese Liu Xiaolong and Qiu Zihan defeated South Korean players  Ko Sung Hyun and Lee Yong Dae.Huser Ayla, of Switzerland won the Women’s Singles after defeated Rankin Anna, from New Zealand Sudirman Cup is the world mixed team badminton championship which takes place every two years.
