Keshav Krishna gets National Geoscience Award
Dr. A. Keshav Krishna, scientist, CSIR – National Geophysical Research Institute, Hyderabad has been selected for the prestigious National Geoscience Award by the Ministry of Mines, Govt, of India for the year 2016 in the field of Geo-Environmental Studies in Applied Geosciences. He has published articles in several national and international journals focusing on interdisciplinary research.
India ranks sixth on eight great power sin 2017
India is ranked at the sixth sport, behind China and Japan, in a list of eight great powers for the year 2017 by a leading American foreign policy magazine which is topped by the U.S. Where as China and Japan are at tie for being on the second spot. Russia (fourth) and Germany (fifth) are the other two countries ahead on the India. Iran is ranked seventh and Israel is on the eighth spot.
Uttam Dhillon appointed as new attorney to White House
A prominent Indian – American attorney Uttam Dhillon appointed to a Key White House position by American President Donald Trump. Dhillon, who served as Chief oversight counsel for the House of Representatives, Financial Services Committee. He has been appointed as special assistant to the President on ethics and Compliance matters.
Arunachal Pradesh launched Dulari Kanya Scheme
Dulari Kanya Scheme is launched in Arunachal Pradesh to check the infant mortality in the state. Governor V. Shanmuganathan launches this scheme on the occasion of 68th Republic Day. Under this scheme the state govt of Arunachal Pradesh will deposit Rs.20,000 in the bank account of the girl child who born in any govt hospital.
E-Health Kerala scheme is launched in Kerala to renovate the health sector of state.
This scheme is launched by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in association with state. IT Mision at Peroorkada District Kerala. Vijayan inaugurated the project by handing over electronic medical record to the residents of peroorkada. Under this project State Govt of Kerala will provide e-health cards to the people of the state.
Usain Bolt loses an Olympic Gold Medal
Usain Bolt has been stripped of one of his nine Olympic gold medals because of a doping offence committed by his teammate Nesta Carter. The Jamaican no longer owns the hallowed “Tripple Tripple” of Olympic sprint titles after being told to hand back the 100 m relay gold medal won at Beijing 2008 alongside Carter. Bolt has realized this was a possibility after if emerged last June that carter had retrospectively failed a drugs test from the Beijing Games nine years ago.
