International Internet Day Observed Globally On 29 October

International Internet Day was observed globally on 29 October 2014. International Internet Day is celebrated worldwide, every year on 29th of October. Since the year 2005 the International Internet Day has been famously celebrated to commemorate a momentous day in the history of telecommunications and technology. This was the event of the sending of the first message, first electronic message which was transferred from one computer to another in 1969.  This was situated in California, in the USA.


ING Vysya Bank MD & CEO Shailendra Bhandari Resigned

Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ING Vysya Bank Shailendra Bhandari resigned from his post after taking charge of the Bangalore-based private lender. He took charge as MD and CEO of the bank effective August 6, 2009. He has also served as MD and CEO of Centurion Bank of Punjab and also worked with HDFC Bank for 5 years.


Zambian President Michael Sata Died

Zambian President Michael Sata, who was nicknamed “King Cobra” for his fiery comebacks and larger-than-life personality, has died in London. He was 77.He was the fourth President of Zambia after Frederick Chiluba, Levy Mwanawasa and Rupiah Banda. He became the President in 2011 for a term of five years.He served as governor of Lusaka and worked under the two former presidents, Kenneth Kaunda and Frederick Chiluba.


Union Govt  Launched Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojna

Union Government has launched Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana (VKY) for welfare of Tribals. Under the scheme centre will provide Rs. 10 crore for each block for the development of various facilities for the Tribals. These blocks have been selected on the recommendations of the concerned States and have very low literacy rate.
