Indian shooter Vijay Kumar bagged Silver in Olympics in Rapid Fire Pistol Event

Indian shooter Vijay Kumar clinched the silver on 3 August 2012 in London Olympics.In a nerve-wracking battle for Olympic medal in the individual 25 metre rapid fire pistol event. Leuris Pupo of  Cuba  clinched the score 34 out of 40 to won gold. Chinese marksman Ding Feng bagged the bronze.


Shinde named Leader of House in Lok Sabha

Shinde named the Leader of the House in Lok Sabha, three days after he became the Union Home Minister.  The Lok Sabha leader’s post fell vacant after Pranab Mukherjee was elected President.Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has nominated Shinde to the post.


Pakistan Supreme Court annulled New Law Protecting the Prime Minister

Supreme Court of Pakistan on 3 August 2012 annulled the new law called Contempt of Court Act 2012(COCA 2012). Pakistan’s Supreme Court 3 August 2012 struck down a law designed to protect the new prime minister from being charged with contempt and thrown out of office like his predecessor.The court ousted the previous prime minister, Yousuf Raza Gilani, from office in June by charging him with contempt of court for failing to reopen corruption proceedings against President Asif  Zardari.
