PM Narendra Modi Received Award of Liberation War Honour On Behalf of Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 7 June received the Award of Liberation War Honour on behalf of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for his active role in the country’s independence struggle. Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid handed over the award to Narendra Modi at a glittering ceremony at Bangabhaban, the President’s house.


Lewis Hamilton Won Canadian Formula 1 Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton (Britain) won the Canadian Formula 1 Grand Prix on 7 June. This was fourth win for Hamilton this year and with the win he extended his lead in the F1 standings over fellow Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg (Germnay), who finished the race at second place. Valtteri Bottas was third, giving Williams its first appearance on the podium all season. Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastien Vettel were fourth and fifth respectively.


Stan Wawrinka Won Men’s French Open 2015 Championship

Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland won his first French Open Men’s single title of Tennis. In the final match he defeated Novak Djokovic of Serbia. This was second grand slam title for Wawrinka after Australian Open 2014.


Barcelona FC Won 2015 UEFA Champions League Trophy

Barcelona FC has won 2015 Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Champions League trophy for the fifth time. In the final played at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany they defeated Juventus FC by 3-1 goals. Before this Barcelona FC had won UEFA Champions League trophy in 1992, 2006, 2009 and 2011.
