The Indian space Research Organisation (ISRO) in March 2017 has sent four teams to 36th Expedition to Antarctica. The teams were installs takes on ice for Differential Global Positioning system (DGPS) to validate the glacier surface velocity. One team is from space applications center and the second team is from National remote Sensing Centre. The third and fourth teams belongs to IRS Dehradun and space physics Laboratory.
