Jovenel Moise has been sworn in as Haiti’s new President, opening a new chapter in the country’s history after a long-running political crisis. The 48 year old entrepreneur took the oath of office in a Parliament Chamber packed with Haitian lawmakers and foreign dignitaries from countries including the U.S, Venezuela and France. A business man from northern Haiti, Moise had never run for office until he was hand picked in 2015 to be the Tel Kale Party candidate by Martelly.
