Union Govt names Rajiv Bansal as CMD of Air India

The Union Government has named Rajiv Bansal, additional secretary and financial advisor in the Petroleum Ministry, as interim CMD of Air India Ltd. The decision came after the previous Air India CMD Ashwani Lohani was appointed as the Chairman of the Railway Board. Bansal is a 1988 batch IAS officer.
