Venkaiah Naidu launches 352 housing projects in 53 cities.

The Minister of Housing & Urban poverty Alleviation M. Venkaiah Naidu lanched 352 projets in 53 cities in 17 states across the country. The project was started with an investment of over Rs.38,000 cr to build over two lakh houses. These housing projects to be taken up by themembers of consideration of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI) Across the country is the first major private investments initiative into affordable housing.


Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina’s fourday visit to India.

PM of Banadesh, Sheikh Hasina was on an official visit to India from 7 th to 10 th April 2017. In a bid to strengthen bilateral ties, India and Bangladesh signed 22 agreements for cooperation in various area viz. civil nuclear cooperation, cyber security, media, judicial sector, peaceful uses of outer space, defence, information technology, electronics and transport connectivity. After comprehensive talks between Prime Ministers of India and Bangladesh, India announced $ 4.5 billion line of credit for development projects in Bangladesh.


President of India inaugurates first NIMCARE World Healdh Day Summit 2017.

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the first NIMCARE World Health Day Summit 2017. The slogan of the first NIMCARE World health day summit is, “Unite for a Healthy Mind”. Depression affects people of all ages from all walks of life and in all countries. As per the National Mental Health Survey 2015-2016 conducted by NIMHANS, 5.2% of the Indian adult population suffers from depression in some from or the other.


Two Nagaland officials get Shaurya Chakra:

Two Nagaland police officers – Sub Divisional Police officers – Sub Divisional Police Officer of Kohima, AtuZumvu, and captain Elisen YJami, were decorated with Shauryachakra (third – highest peacetime gallantry award) at a grand function held at Rashtrapati. Bhavan in New Delhi. The awards were conferred by President Pranab Mukherjee in the presence of Prime Minister Narndera Modi. Zumva is posted as Sub – Divisional Police officer (SDPO), Kohima while army officer captain Jami is from 12th Battalion of the parachute Regiment.


Former SC Judge Shiva Kirti Singh to Head TDSAT:

The Union government ahs cleared retired Supreme Court Judge Shiva Kirti Singh as the next Chairman of the Telecom Disputes Settlement & Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT). The appointment is for a period of three years from the date of assumption of office or until further orders, which ever is earlier. As per rules, the head of the dispute resolution agency for the telecom industry must be a person, who has been a SC Judge, or the Chief Justice of a High Court.
