Slovak PM Robert Fico resigns

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and his government resigned. Slovak President Andrej Kiska accepted the resignation. He has resigned because of the political crisis triggered by the slayings of an investigative journalist and his fiancee.


17th World Conference on Tobacco held in South Africa

The 17th World Conference on Tobacco or Health (WCTOH) was held in Cape Town, South Africa. It united researchers, academics, non-governmental organisations, civil society, scientists, healthcare professionals and public officials working on all aspects of tobacco control from more than 100 countries.


India ranks 78th on WEF Energy Transition Index

India has been ranked at 78th among 114 countries on the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) energy transition index. The index listed countries based on their ability to balance energy security, environmental sustainability and affordability. The overall list was topped by Sweden, followed by Norway at the 2nd position and Switzerland at the 3rd rank.


India’s exports in February up 4.5% to $25.8 Billion

India’s exports grew by 4.5% in February-2018 to 25.8 billion dollars. It was 24.7 billion dollar during the same period in February-2017. This announcement was made by the Commerce Secretary Rita Teaotia.


Slovenian PM Cerar resigns

Slovenian Prime Minister Miro Cerar has resigned. He resigned after a court annulled the result of a referendum in the latest blow to his crisis-hit government, months ahead of planned elections.


Indian football team re-enters in top-100

The Indian football team has re-entered into the top-100 of the FIFA world rankings and is now placed at 99th. Among Asian countries, the Indian team is at the 13th spot.


Yes Bank launches a digitised trade finance solution

Yes Bank has launched a robotics based ‘Digital export Import’ payments solution as a part of its Yes Transact Smart Trade product suite. The integrated product uses robotics process automation and helps in eliminating the requirement of documents submission for import and export payments.
