IBHFL appointed S.S.Mundra as an independent director
Indiabulls Housing Finance (IBHFL), India’s second-largest housing finance company, appointed Mr.S.S.Mundra as an independent director on the board of the company. He is the former Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India.


Indian economy clocked double digit growth in 2006-07
The new estimates released by a government constituted committee suggest that GDP growth in the period 2004-05 to 2011-12 may have been higher than reckoned earlier. According to the report, the growth of the Indian economy is 0.3 to 0.5 percentage points higher for each year.

Bajrang Punia won gold in the Asian Games 2018
Bajrang Punia won gold in the final of the 65kg freestyle wrestling competition at the Asian Games 2018. He became the winner of India’s 140th Asiad gold. Punia is the sole torch-bearer of Indian wrestling.


Former MP Chennupati Vidya dies of heart attack
Former member of Lok Sabha, Chennupati Vidya died of heart attack due to age-related ailments. Vidya (84) was elected to the Parliament as a Congress candidate from Vijayawada constituency in 1980 and in 1989.
