Burj Khalifa lights up in Tricolour of India
Burj Khalifa tower, the world’s tallest building located in Dubai, will be lit up in the colors of the Indian National Flag on Wednesday and Thursday to celebrate India’s 68th Republic Day. The LED shows were to be held on both days along with complimenting Dubai Fountain. The Official Twitter account of Burj Khalifa tweeted out in both English and Arabic languages. Tonight we celebrate India’s 68th Republic Day with a spectacular LED illumination of the Indian National Flag.
Madhya Pradesh CM Announces Total Ban on Polythene carry Bags
Chief Minister of M.P. Shivraj Singh chouhan on thursday (26 January 2017) announced a total ban on polythene carry bags from May 1 in Madhya Pradesh in a bid to conserve the environment, protect cows, animals and promote cleanliness. Use of polythene carry bags and thein littering was affecting environment and cleanliness.
DU becomes first public Versity with ‘monumental’ flag
Delhi University is set to host its first monumental flag. Even months after all Central University Vice Chancellor resolved to install the National Flag “Prominently and Proudly” on their campuses. According to Flag Foundation of India, DU is the First Public University in the country to get a monumental flagpole.
US Emmy -Award Winner Mary Tyler Moore Passes Away
The legendary actress, who was best known for her roles in “The Dick Van Dyke Show” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” had spent years battling ill health. The Seven-Time Emmy Award winner battled diabetes over the years and had been breathing through a respirator for more than a week. She was dead at the age of 80.
India Celebrates its 68 Republic Day
India is Celebrating its 68th Republic Day on 26 January 2017. The Celebrations were began with president hoisting the Indian Flag. Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan the Chief Guest at the annual parade in New Delhi. The theme of 2017 Republic Day is “Skill India and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”. Every year this day is celebrated on January 26, as it was on this day that the Constitution of India came into force in the year 1950.
