S&P appoints Neeraj Sahai as new President

A top Indian-American executive at Citigroup has been appointed president of Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services, the world’s largest ratings firm.Neeraj Sahai will assume his new role at S&P from January 6, 2014, financial intelligence company McGraw Hill Financial said in a statement in New York.Sahai succeeds Douglas Peterson, who became president and chief executive officer of McGraw Hill Financial on 1 November.


NATO Launches Largest-ever Cyber Security Exercises

North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) on 26 November launched a a large-scale cyber defense exercise based largely in Estonia, with participants scattered across 32 other European countries.The three-day exercise, code-named "Cyber Coalition 2013," is NATO's largest cyber exercise to date in terms of the number of countries taking part.The Cyber Defence Exercise is aimed at training technical personnel and their leadership as well as testing the capability of NATO and its partners to coordinate their efforts in foiling multiple simulated cyber attacks.
