NGT forms monitoring committee
The National Green Tribunal formed a monitoring committee on the cleaning of the Yamuna River. The tribunal headed by National Green Tribunal (NGT) Chairperson A K Goel directed the committee to develop an action plan.

The world’s oldest person, a 117-year-old Japanese woman, has died. Chiyo Miyako died on 22nd July 2018. Her death was confirmed by the government of Kanagawa, her home state south of Tokyo, Japan.
