India Successfully Test Fired Nuclear Capable ' Prithvi -2 ' Missile
India has successfully test fired its surface to surface ballistic missile Prithvi-ll from Chandipur in the Balesore district of Odisha on 3 December.The last user trial of Prithvi-II was successfully carried out from the same base on 7th and 8th October 2013.It was Inducted into India's Strategic Forces Command in 2003, the Prithvi II missile is the first missile to be developed by DRDO under India's Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme.
Dhoni Wins ICC’s LG People’s Choice Award 2013
India captain and wicketkeeper M.S. Dhoni has won the ICC’s LG People’s Choice Award for 2013 on 3 December . Dhoni is the second Indian to win this special category award after Sachin Tendulkar. Dhoni has now become only the third cricketer to win this award after Tendulkar, who was the first-ever recipient in 2010, and Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara, who won it in 2011 and 2012.Other nominees for this year's LG People's Choice Award were Australia's Michael Clarke, England's Alastair Cook, India's Virat Kohli, and South Africa's AB de Villiers.
