Google’ buying ‘Meebo’ to help social networking push

Google is buying silicon valley start-up Meebo to help expand its social networking service.The acquisition announced on 4 June will bring more tools to google plus,an alternative to facebook.Google has spent more than $16billion buying 140 companies since the end od 2009.The biggest dea; in Google’s history of 14 years is buying $12.5 billion cellphone maker motorola.


Scientists Successfully Sequenced The Genome of  Tomato

Scientists at the tomato genome consortium(TGM) successfully sequenced the genome of tomato.It took 7years for the scientists to crack the genome.It will increase the vegetable’s production world wide and decrease its price .Indian scientists were also the part of research.


R.N.choubey Is The New Head Of DGH

The centre has appointed Rajiv Naraya Choubey, a senior bureaufrat,Mr.Chobey ,a 1981 batch DAS officer of Tamilnadu cadre will be the first bureaucrant to head the highly Technical arm of the oil Ministry .Which has been marred by contro versies in the past few years.


No-Penality On Pre-Closure of Home Loan

The reserve bank of India (RBI) on 5 June said that banks would not be permitted to charge force closure of charges/pre-payment penalties on home loans on floating interest rate basis,with immediate effect.

1st Intercontinental Solar Flight Takes off  

A Swiss adventure soared above sun -splashed Spanish valleys toward Maorocco on 5 June 2012 on the world’s first Intercontinental flight in a solar powered plane .This aircraft has 12,000 solar cells in the wings turning four electrical motors. piccard gradually piloted the place to an altitude of about 3,800 meters as he headed toward spains southern coast some 50 kilometers per hour.


CII Spells Out 10-Point Agenda For Economic Revival

The confederation of Indian industry on 5 June announced a 10-poit agenda foe economic revival and out linked key areas of concern.

-Cut repo rate by 100 basis points
-Cut CRR by 100 bps
-Allow accelerated depreciation for investments in plant & machinery.
-25% weightted tax deduction on expenditure on companies going green.
-Increase FDI limits in civil aviation and defence: allow FDI in multi brand retail.
-provide interest subvention of 2% to export credit for six months .
– Clear 50 large projects in next 30 days .
-Announce clean plan for fiscal consolidation.
Allow direct access to importers to stockly items for their forex requirement.


India  Stood At No.3 In Reality Rate Hike

Even as first time buyers are exhausting their saving to by a home, reality rates in India are going to roof .Property prices increased by 12% ,propelling India to their position among 53 countries. The Global Index Survey by Knight Frank, property consultants , shows that Brazil recorded the strongest annual growth (23.5%) in the past years ,followed by Estonia  with a growth rate of (13.9%).


Pakistan Tests % 5th N-Capable Missile

Pakistan on 5 June tested its fifth nuclear -capable Cruise missile with a 700 km range that can deliver a one -ton nuclear war head.
