The World Heritage Committee decided to remove Gelati Monastery of Georgia from the List of World Heritage in Danger. This decision has introduced a major reduction in the boundaries of the Georgian site of Bagrati Cathedral and Gelati Monastery, that were inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1994 and on the List in Danger in 2010. The new boundaries bar Bagrati Cathedral, which underwent major reconstruction that was unsafe to its integrity and authenticity.
