Health Ministry Launches Measles-Rubella Vaccine (MR) Campaign

With an aim to eradicate Measles and Rubella from India. The Union Health Ministry on 5th February launched Measles- Rubella (MR) vaccination campaign in Bengaluru, targeting 41 crore children in India. After the campaign the MR vaccine will be introduced in routine immunization, replacing the two doses of measles vaccine given to children at 9`12 months and 16-24 months of age.
