The Parliament passed the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Bill, 2018. The Bill was introduced in Lok Sabha by the Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Thaawar Chand Gehlot on august 2018.
