The head of India operations at UBS AG, Manisha Giotra, has resigned, the latest high-profile exit from the Swiss bank in the world’s second-fastest growing major country. Kamat will be replaced by UBS veteran Harald Egger who till recently was head of group corporate services and sourcing based at the investment bank’s Zurich headquarters. Giotra joined UBS India in 1998 and had led several cross-border deals and equity offerings including advising Unitech’s telecom unit on a Rs 6,024 crore ($1.2 billion) stake sale to Norway’s Telenor and Rs 3,830.26 crore ($763 million) treasure share sale by energy major Reliance Industries last year.
