Danny Willett from England on 10 April won the prestigious 2016 US Masters Golf tournament.It was his first major championship with a score of 283 (−5) and three strokes ahead of runners-up Lee Westwood (UK) and the defending champion Jordan Spieth (US).
NASA’s Kepler Spacecraft Enters Emergency Mode
NASA’s Kepler spacecraft has gone into emergency mode (EM) some 75 million miles from Earth. The lowest operational mode EM of the spacecraft was discovered during a scheduled contact for undertaking microlensing observing campaign. Initial indications shows that Kepler had entered EM before mission operations began the manoeuvre to orient the spacecraft to point towards the centre of the Milky Way. Kepler spacecraft hunts for Earth-like planets orbiting other stars. It was launched in March 2009. Since its launch, the mission has been incredibly successful and has led to finding of more than 1,000 alien planets of which half are exoplanets to be ever discovered.

World Homoeopathy Day Observed On 10 April
“World Homoeopathy Day was observed on 10 April 2016 and it was organised by India. The day commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, a German Physician. Hahnemann discovered the principles of Homeopathy two centuries ago and developed it as a gentle healing system of medicine. The day is observed by the Liga Medicorum Homoeopathica Internationalis (LMHI), the international professional body of Homeopaths and every year it designates a country to host the day. During this day, the Homoeopathic fraternity organizes various symposia, road shows, medical camps and conferences and memorial events to popularize the strength of Homoeopathy.”
