India Successfully Test Fired Akash Missile

India successfully testfired indigenously-developed surface-to-air Akash missile from the Integrated Test Range at ChandipurĀ  in Odisha coast. The Missile has a strike range of 25 km and capability to carry warhead of 60 kgs. Akash is a medium range surface-to-air anti-aircraft defence system developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) as part of the Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme.


Supreme Court Reconstitutes Special Investigation Team On Black Money

The Supreme CourtĀ  reconstituted the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to monitor probe into black money case. To provide guidance and direction to the SIT in investigation of all cases of black money in the country and abroad, the Court appointed retired judge MB Shah as its Chairman and retired Judge Arijit Pasayat as the Vice Chairman.
