Kerala minister resigned following domestic violence complaint by wife

Kerala Forest minister K.B.Ganesh Kumar resigned his post on 02 April 2013 due to domestic violence complaint by wife in the local police station.He is only one congress person in the Congress- UPF Coalition Alliance governemt in Kerala.


MoU Signed Between NTPC and Ministry Of Power for 2013-14 Financial Year

The National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) and Ministry of Power (MOP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) 2013-14 on 2 April 2013. The MoU was signed between CMD of NTPC, Arup Roy Choudhury and Secretary Power of MOP, P. Uma Shankar. According to the MoU signed, NTPC will work towards generation of 242 BU during 2013-14. In 2013-14, NTPC will also strive to produce 4 MMTPA coal from its own captive mines.


World’s first solar plane to fly across US

A first of its kind ultra-lightweight plane powered completely by the sun is set to fly coast-to-coast this spring.The Solar Impulse plane will stop in Dallas city in Texas during its historic cross-country journey that begins on May 1.The plane, which requires zero fuel and relies solely on solar panels and battery power, would be the world’s first plane powered purely by solar energy.


Obama Announced $100 Million “Brain Initiative” Project

On 2 April US President Barack Obama has announced the “BRAIN Initiative” a $100 million brain-mapping project.The BRAIN initiative will attempt to find ways to treat Alzheimer’s disease and strokes while also aiding in job growth.
