Indian-American Purnendu Dasgupta Won Prestigious Chemistry Award

Purnendu Dasgupta, an Indian-American has won 2015 American Chemical Society (ACSs) Division of Analytical Chemistry J. Calvin Giddings Award. He was awarded this award for his special contribution in the field of analytical chemistry. The national award recognises a scientist, who has enhanced the professional development of analytical chemistry students, developed and published innovative experiments, designed and improved equipment or teaching labs and published influential textbooks or significant articles on teaching analytical chemistry.


Union Government Launches Portal ‘Madad’ To Redress Consular Grievances

Union Government has launched Consular Grievances Monitoring portal named MADAD (Help). MADAD an e-portal will help Indian citizens living abroad to file consular grievances online on the services offered by the Indian Missions and Posts abroad. The portal ‘Madad'(Help) was launched at the Ministry of External Affairs or MEA headquarters in Delhi by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.


Nitish Kumar Sworn In As CM For Bihar For 4th time

Janatal Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the fourth time. Governor of Bihar Keshri Nath Tripathi administered the oath of office and secrecy to him at the oath taking ceremony held on 22 February at Raj Bhawan in Patna.He succeeded Jitan Ram Manjhi, who resigned from his office on 20 February 2015 before the trust vote wherein he was supposed to prove majority in the 243-member Bihar Legislative Assembly.
