President 3-Nation Visit
India and Cuba have signed two MoUs in the field of biotechnology, traditional medicine and homoeopathy. The agreements talks between President Ram Nath Kovind and his Cuban counterpart Miguel Mario Díaz-Canel in Havana. Cuba also reiterated its support to India’s candidature for a permanent seat in UN Security Council.


K Vijay Kumar appointed advisor to J&K Governer
Retired IPS officer K Vijay Kumar has been appointed as an Advisor to the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir governor. Until recently, he was Security Advisor to the Union Home Minister. Besides, IAS officer BB Vyas has been appointed the Chief Secretary of the state.

Wife of Israel PM charged with fraud over misuse of funds
The wife of Israel’s prime minister has been charged with fraud involving the alleged misuse of state funds. Sara Netanyahu has been indicted over claims she fraudulently ordered hundreds of meals to the prime minister’s official residence in Jerusalem, spending more than $100,000 (£76,000) of public money in the process.

M. Scorsese to receive Lifetime Achievement
Veteran director Martin Scorsese will be conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Rome Film Festival 2018. Martin Scorsese is an American director, producer, screenwriter, actor and film historian.
