World Vitiligo Day Observed On 25 June 2014
World Vitiligo Day was observed across the world on 25 June 2014. The day is specially dedicated to people with vitiligo. The world started observing the day in 2012 with an aim to focus on the disease vitiligo with international collaborative research and public awareness campaign about the myths and reality and raise funds needed for research and education.
International Seafarer’s Day Observed Across The World
International Seafarer’s day was observed on 25 June 2014. The day is observed to give thanks to the seafarers for their contribution to the economy and civil society of the world, also for risks and personal costs borne by them while being in their jobs. This was the fourth edition of its global campaign: Day of the Seafarer. The first edition of the Day of the Seafarers was observed by IMO in 2011.
