Pakistan’s National Security advisor Nasser Khan Janjua resigns
Pakistan’s National Security Advisor Nasser Khan Janjua resigned from his post. Succeeding Sartaj Aziz, Janjua took over as Pakistan’s NSA in October 2015, he served as the NSA since then.

In a first, women across Saudi Arabia were legally allowed to drive for the first time since 1957, thus, ending the world’s last ban on female drivers which was seen as a symbol of women’s repression in the deeply conservative Muslim kingdom.


ISSF Junior World Cup: Saurabh Chaudhary sets World record
Sixteen-year-old Indian shooter Saurabh Chaudhary set a new world record on the way to winning a gold medal in the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany. Saurabh shot a total of 243.7 in the 10m air pistol event in the ongoing International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) tournament.


Mumbai costlier than Washington and Melbourne
According to a Mercer survey, Mumbai is the most expensive city in India to live in for expatriates as compared to Washington and Melbourne. Hong Kong is ranked as the world’s costliest city to live in for expatriates, followed by Tokyo, Zurich, Singapore, and Seoul.


India Ranked 4th for Web Attacks Globally: Report
According to a report titled “Summer 2018 State of the Internet/ Security: Web Attack report” compiled by Cloud delivery network provider Akamai Technologies, India is ranked fourth in the list of top 10 target countries for Web Application Attacks.


Vice President launches the book “Human Rights, Values and Cultural Ethos”
Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu has launched the book “Human Rights, Values and Cultural Ethos”. It is a collection of essays and lectures written by Dr. R.P. Dhokalia. The thrust of the book is on the connection between human rights and the intrinsic and core human values which in turn manifest in the cultural ethos of a society.


Irfan Khan won Best Actor award at IIFA Awards
Irfan who is battling neuroendocrine tumour, won the IIFA for best actor for his role in Hindi Medium. The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards took place in Bangkok.
