ISIS Announce Plans To Create Their Own Gold Currency
ISIS claim to have created gold dinars and three denominations of silver dirhams as well as two of copper coins, known as ‘fulus’, which will be used for ‘smaller transactions.Local trade continues to be done through the use of local currency or more commonly US dollars, due to the stability of the western currency. The jihadi group claim in the video that one 21-carat one dinar coin will weigh 4.25 grams and it will be worth an equivalent to $139 due to its weight in gold.
Palakkad to be declared first HIV/AIDS literate district
Palakkad in Kerala would soon be declared as the first total HIV/AIDS literate district in the country.This was announced by district panchayat president T.N. Kandamuthan on 31 August 2015. To make the district total HIV/AIDS literate district, a special project titled “Jyothirgamaya” was implemented with the cooperation of 91 gram panchayats and four municipalities in the district.
